Elder can arrange short-term respite care for shorter periods. A carer will move into the home and provide expert care.
As well as deciding on a care plan, you can choose to add any of the following services to your family’s care plan.
Carer with a car or driving licence
We’ll find a carer who can drive and bring their car to your loved one’s home. £40-£80 weekly.
Spousal support
We’ll find a carer who can help your loved one’s partner with light domestic duties. £80 weekly.
Managed food budget
We can help you manage your carer’s personal food budget for the week. £40 weekly.

You can pay securely via Direct Debit or with a bank card through your MyElder online account. If you’re receiving council funding (known as Direct Payments), you can arrange payment by bank transfer. Our Care Advisors are available to guide you through this setup.

Yes. We understand that funding can be a significant concern, so we provide several resources to help you. Our free funding calculator helps you identify and apply for funds you may be eligible for, such as those from your Local Authority or State benefits. We also have detailed guide on NHS funding and can connect you with independent advocates for support.
Unlike some other providers, we have a simple and transparent pricing structure. Our prices do not include fees for joining or leaving our service, or surcharges for bank holidays and weekends. The only potential add-on costs are for a carer who can drive, additional spousal support, or a managed food budget.
No, Elder never charges a sign-up or joining fee for using our services.
The primary factor affecting your quote is the specific care needs of the individual. Our prices are tailored to the skills required from the carer. Other factors include the availability of carers in your area and local market rates, but we’re committed to providing excellent value.
Care is invoiced and paid for on a weekly basis. However, if you are receiving Direct Payments from the council, you may be offered the option to pay monthly.
Yes. If you wish to split the invoice between a family member or your local council, simply speak with your Care Advisor. They can set this up on your account before your care begins.
